Yes! I'll be up on Thursday! Out on park point. If they are running good, we can hook you up! 😀

Agreed, a couple good pulls but tough going. We ended with 11 gallons. But they started later tonight and quit earlier!
That's fishing!

where I was the run came in good for 1hr and that was it. Lots of thin females that are spilling eggs. To me that means the peak run was tuesday night and the ones there tuesday hit the jackpot. I believe the run is now gonna get thin as the nights go by. My group best pull was 5 gallons with most females. I might do one more trip if the lester picks up or knife.

We got about 10 gal. on PP. Not terrible but we grinded. Sounds like the Lester was decent, pier is dead. Might give a river one more shot this weekend, then return to full-time womanizing....

I wonder if the fog that moved in shut em out. I don't think it was the fog. If anything I notice it was a bit better. I think the fish are spawning quicker and moving out. When I notice less females in the net that's when the grind kick in. When it was mostly females my team manage to get 4 gallon pulls but the eggs were almost All pushed out already.

I actually think it was due to a lack of current! I know the beach isn't a river. But the wind and waves creates under tows, back eddys, and even a current down the beach with the right direction.
And smelt love current. Also, the waves coming in bring in warmer water to the beach and when the lake is flat the water isn't moving....just a theory!
I do know when the waves are crashing in the smelt can be in there big time!!!

For this time though is still slow. A dozen per pull.. we'll see if it produces more in the half hour.
