Just finished cleaning 220 quarts of smelt from Ashland. Started at 9pm stopped pulling around 11:30. Certainly not a big run, had to earn your smelt. 75% males 25% females. God I'm tired.lol

Was up last night with a group of guys. started getting them roughly around 9 and stopped at 1230. 4 nets running and we definitely pulled in over 80+ gallons of smelt. Biggest pulls were 8-10 gallons (multiple times), a few 5 gallon pulls but average pulls were 1/2 buckets. At one point of the night, we literally just swept the shoreline and we're pulling in 1/2 bucket pulls with few pulls of 5 gallons.

PP tonight. Not as strong run as I would like. So far 10gal(2 buckets). Slowed down so we're taking a break. Will probably cut off at midnight if nothing changes.

Just finishing up on the beach. Park point park. Nice evening! Nothing crazy but very solid. Our best pull was maybe 3 or 4 gallons! Most were a half a gallon. Great evening with friends steaks burgers and beers on the beach! Thanks to Tim and Raquel Brent and woodtick...great evening. Going home with 10 gallons and didn't need more!

We are only 5 days into the run now on Park Point. So things are progressing nicely, and should continue to ramp up for a while. We should have at least 2 more weeks of decent smelting. So make your plans accordingly!

Conditions all came together perfectly on Park Point last night. 5 gallons in 45 minutes for three old guys. Done by 10:00 p.m. Groups to the left and right were working harder and got a lot more. Plenty of huge females. The run is on!
