I've tried many ways to freeze smelt and they are never too good after they have been frozen. I'm trying them vacuum sealed this year. Has anyone had luck with this???

I have always just used gallon freezer bags. And add enough water to get all the air out. So basically the same as vacuum sealing I'd guess. And I freeze them whole, and clean them after defrosting. Always tastes fresh!

I vacuum seal every year and after two years they are still good and fresh.
