Were you the guy putting them straight into your cooler after you caught them? If you were, I feel bad for you. I had a good time talking to you while the run was slow. Maybe 5 minutes after you left, all hell broke loose. 2 other other guys left before the big action started as well, they said it was too much work for the what they were catching. One guy gave me his 14 as he left. He knew I came up from the cities, and he felt bad for me because it was slow then. Sorry you missed the epic run.

No Lestor information, but both points are running. 4 gallons in 1 and a half hours. But very cold!

Off the break wall on the end of the MN point. I've only seen people dip there? Not sure if they were successful?

I believe it would be a waste of time. The bottom is sandy and your net would be getting stuck in it a lot. It's hard enough to drag a siene through there. Dipping would be real tough. Good luck wherever you end up. If you are really interested in checking things out on the Point, just go. Introduce yourself to a group of people, offer your help in return for a few of the tasties. Tell them you want to learn how it's done out on the Point. Everytime I have done this in the past, people have been very nice to show you how it's done, what kind of net to use, the whole process, and very willing to share the bounty.

Can anybody tell me what the conditions are like on Park Point with the wind from NNW please. I am from Hudson Wi and would like to saddle up the family if the conditions are good.

Phil, it will be breezy no matter what where you are at. But the waves will get larger the further down the point you go (east). I would start out as close to the sea wall near the lift bridge as you can get. Be early, it's a small parking lot. You live close, so it won't be so bad if it's a bust.

No luck yesterday at the Point (16th). The winds and waves were not friendly at the point. We left the Point at 1am and so far no one got anything. Waiting for the winds to die down a bit... Any report on the Lester lately???
